Swiss NGO supporting Palestinian refugees in Lebanon since 2013 through local implementing agencies to support Palestinian Refugees from Syria (PRS) in Shatila and and Burj El Barajneh Camps. In 2017, HEKS/EPER contracted Agency RED to identify livelihood opportunities for the refugees. RED focus has for mission to identify possible livelihood interventions for PRS and hosting communities that might lead to employment, self-employment opportunities and income generating activities to mitigate poverty among refugees and host community and reduce their dependency on external aid and to assess partner organizations, community associations, cooperatives and other types of structures that have the capacity to implement part of the livelihood and resilience projects.
