As part of its Recovery Initiative for the CAR, the French Development Agency called on the RED-TDS consortium to conduct an identification mission for the setting up of an analytical laboratory / dialogue platform in the CAR. In order to contribute to the recovery of the country, the objectives of AFD’s analytical laboratory / dialogue platform project in CAR are to pool and develop data and knowledge in CAR, to enable dialogue and networking between the different actors working for recovery of the country, support for decision-making and governance, and the monitoring and evaluation of the actions implemented. In this context, the objectives of the identification mission carried out by the RED-TDS consortium were to identify and precise the concepts carried by the analytical laboratory / dialogue platform, to identify the actors involved in recovery initiatives and to define the operational and administrative aspects required for such a structure to function.
